I went to Charlottesville, Virginia last weekend to visit friends. We had a gang of seven and did a lot of fun things like live karaoke and wine tasting, but what sticks out most for me about this weekend is that I ate The Most Delicious Sandwich Known to Man. This sandwich was perfect in every way. The bread was warm and fresh and delicious. The fillings were delectable and varied. The taste of the mayonnaise perfectly complemented the salmon. On the way back from New York, Bob, Cheryl, Robin and I went wine-tasting in Virginia. First, we went to Chrysalis Vineyards, where we had a little dribble of eight wines, including the rather delicious Viognier. I skipped and smiled and sang and danced and twirled and giggled to the car, and we drove to Piedmont Vineyards, passing an ostrich farm on the way. At Piedmont, we tried another six or so wines, and by the end it became evident that 100-pound Sarah had not eaten lunch. I will be bringing my blog-log notebook along with me this weekend, as I go on a Road Trip (it has to be capitalized, doesn't it? I wouldn't know - I've never been on one) with Cheryl and Robin to Virginia and New York City.
