I can't even describe how weird it was to watch the Rose Bowl Parade on Monday and see hundreds of Star Wars stormtroopers marching in formation. It was like The Empire had taken over Pasadena. It was awesome and it was weird and I thought it was totally cool and I was kind of embarrassed that I thought that. As with all the weird-ass Oklahoma floats that were there for no reason (go have your own parade, Oklahoma, and get out of ours!), there was no connection to the Rose Bowl - it was just a chance for people to...

I am so conflicted. On one hand, I am really excited that the creator of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and the Indiana Jones movies is going to be the Grand Marshal of the Rose Bowl parade this year.
