I usually forget about yellow underwear until after Christmas, but somehow this year I am prepared in advance. Every year, my friends and I give each other gifts of yellow underwear so that we can start the New Year off right in Peruvian/Venezuelan fashion and have good luck throughout the next year. So be like us and go out and buy some yellow underwear for your friends! On second thought, don't. I don't think anyone's bought mine yet, and I don't want you folks to pick over the selection so that I get stuck with Spongebob....

There is a tradition in some countries in Latin America that it is good luck to ring in the new year wearing brand new yellow underwear. Not only yellow underwear, but yellow underwear that was a gift. So get shopping for underwear for the people you love!...

Robin says it's a tradition to wear new yellow underwear on New Year's Eve for good luck. So she bought me some while she was out shopping today. How sweet! Are you all set with your yellow underwear? Have a safe and happy New Year celebration if you haven't yet....
