Hooray for snack-sized candies!
I bought Halloween candy just in case I had trick-or-treaters, but was pretty sure I wouldn't, since I don't have a porch light and there was nothing to indicate that ascending three flights of stairs would be in any way fruitful. Or candyful. As a result, I have candy galore leftover. I've brought some to work but it isn't disappearing nearly fast enough - especially since several of my coworkers have mentioned that they didn't have any trick-or-treaters either. Junior Mints are a little firm and standoffish on the outside, but the inside is soft and comforting. They are like a hug, in candy form. I like Junior Mints....

I went for years without a Junior Mint and never missed them. Then Katie started talking about them* this summer and I went out and tried them again. Now they're my comfort food and I now crave them whenever I'm having a bad day or I'm stressed or torn or confused or feel like crying. I feel just fine today. My worries of the weekend are mostly behind me and my stress of the week is ahead of me. And yet I had to have Junior Mints. I think this may be a sign of addiction. I took a break...
