I went to the eye doctor yesterday. I like my eye doctor because, like my dentist, he is patient and indulgent when I go "What's that? What's that for? How does it work? What's that? What's that for? Yes sir, it's glasses soup

Do you really care about whether your glasses match your outfit? It never occurred to me to own more than one pair of glasses at a time, but I knew people in Vichy who would choose their glasses for the day as a fashion accessory. Of course I hung around a lot of opticians, so maybe they could afford to be fashionable like that. I dunno. Glasses are for seeing, and clothes are for being not-naked. Fashion be damned....

Seeing Things

Today's post titles all begin with letters down at the bottom of the alphabet. I am such a nerd for noticing that. I'm wearing my contacts today for the second day in a row. Before yesterday, I hadn't worn them for over a month because one of the side-effects of Alesse is the very vague possible difficulty wearing contact lenses. What does difficulty mean? That they will roll back into your head and give you a blood clot in your brain? That your eyes will dry up and you won't be able to get them out? I was scared but...
