I am so conflicted. On one hand, I am really excited that the creator of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and the Indiana Jones movies is going to be the Grand Marshal of the Rose Bowl parade this year. On the other hand, I am really disappointed that the creator of The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Smeaaaaaaghth, Revenge of the Sith, Ewoks: The Battle for Endor and Howard the Duck is going to be the Grand Marshal of the Rose Bowl parade this year. Hmmmm... Alright, now I am finally upset about being...

Why is it that George Lucas will go back into his old movies and fiddle with things that don't need to be fiddled with, needlessly changing the fact that HAN SHOT FIRST, adding silly dinosaurs to the background of scenes, and inserting Stupid McWhinersen where Sebastian Shaw should be, but he won't go back and change the ridiculous stop-actiony way that tauntauns run? I'm pretty sure that the gravity on Hoth is the same on any other planet in the Star Wars movies. I saw Han walk through the snow and I saw Luke fall from the ceiling and both...

On Tuesday, we watched the American Film Institute's special 100 Years... 100 Movie Quotes. The show had clips from various famous actors, writers and directors including Star Wars destroyer director George Lucas, whose chin and neck have recently combined and expanded to make him look like a manatee. I always wondered where he got the idea for some of his characters and have now come to realize that he's not that creative after all - he was just looking in the mirror....
