Dear David (since I'm all about the open letters this week), IloveyouIloveyouIloveyouIloveyou and I kinda want to be you. Your loving gnome, SRAH...
My blog is making me stupid.

I am at the point where I only remember things if I have blogged about them. Things happen, people tell me things and they are lost into the ether unless I record them here. Times and dates of things I have to do in the future have no hope at all, because they haven't happened yet so there's no story to blog. *Poof* they are gone. So let me say, so that I can stop forgetting and trying to double-book myself: I have a hott date to see David Sedaris at the Michigan Theater on Thursday. I mustn't forget this...

Last time I came to France, I played Spot the American. I'm now, on the plane, involved in a simplified version of the game called French or American? I suck! This should not be harder than Spot the American, but so far none of my guesses have proven to be correct. David Sedaris, in his infinite wisdom, points out that you should be able to tell by the shoes. Hate to disappoint, David, but this planefull seems to have had a mutual footwear-swapping orgy, or else I'm just hopelessly out of touch with modern French and American fashion trends. Um......

Hoy, estudiamos la grammatica de francés. Para aprender lenguas, es muy importante conocer bien su misma lengua, entonces revisamos el subjunctivo y el condicional de francés antes de estudiar esos tiempos en español. Correct me, lurking Spanish speakers. I know you're there. If you let me prattle along in bad Spanish, I will always sound like an evil baby. Please help me learn to talk like a hillbilly instead....

I was going to blog about this later, but I have also found a 2001 Onion A/V Club interview with David Sedaris. I am ecstatic. I want to go out for coffee with David if he's still in France. Find me, David! I have also just discovered that David and his sister Amy are both on What'sBetter.com, so here comes the long-waited (since this weekend) post: I am turning into David Sedaris. It's not that I can't ask for one of anything, it's that one carrot looks so lonely in the bag. He needs a friend to live with him....

We started off the day with heaping bowls of Chocapic, just the way a day should begin. Mine were plain, in cold milk, like a normal Unitedstatesian. Pato's were in warm milk with sugar poured over the top, like Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes. Gotta find that cartoon... Pato, tía Amada and I would be going south that evening, to pick up the car. Apparently it was a problem with the clutch and not the brakes, as I had previously believed. Anyway, the car was in Rancagua and it was time to go pick it up. The idea was that...

This whole Random Poetry dealie sounds like someone who hasn't quite mastered the English language and reminds me of David Sedaris' Me Talk Pretty One Day, when he is learning French. "He nice, the Jesus. He die and be put on two pieces of wood then he go to live in the sky with your father." <-- paraphrase...
