To follow up on a previous post: From the delivery reports so far, it looks like all of the deliveries are being made by celebrities who have something to do with what's being delivered. This is fair - if Dale Jarrett showed up on my doorstep, I believe my exact reaction would be, "Hey.... Guy in a Jumpsuit.... It's really amazing to actually meet you in person, Guy in a Jumpsuit. I'm a big fan of... whatever it is you do. Oh well. At least I got my Harry Potter book. Bye." But in something I read about the promotion,...

Roro and her sister and brother-in-law and I went to see Love Actually yesterday. I wasn't expecting any more than a chance to stare at Alan Rickman and Colin Firth, and was pleasantly surprised. It's done quite well, actually. It's a lovely movie telling something like ten stories about all of the forms of love. I cried and laughed and laughed through my tears. I'm not sure why they released a Christmas movie this early in December, but maybe they're hoping it will gain momentum through word of mouth and be big just in time for the holiday season....

Haven't done one of these in a while... 1. What food do you like that most people hate? Mushrooms, olives, blue cheese. 2. What food do you hate that most people love? Coffee, beer, dark chocolate. 3. What famous person, whom many people may find attractive, is most unappealing to you? Lots of them. Most notably Jennifer Love Hewitt. She's so dreadfully average that the fact that some people think she's beautiful makes me want to kick her in the face. Also Nicolas Cage and John Travolta. *shudder* 4. What famous person, whom many people may find unappealing, do you...

If Love Actually - directed by Richard Curtis and out in November - sounds like Notting Hill, Four Weddings, Sliding Doors and Bridget Jones all rolled into one, that's because it probably will be. But, if a formula works, why not stick with it? - firth.com Notting Hill, Four Weddings, Sliding Doors, Bridget Jones, Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Keira Knightley, Rowan Atkinson, The Delectable Mr Darcy Firth (smiling!), romance and love abounding AND Richard Curtis. Lovely lovely lovely. Why does this only have a limited US release date????? Join with me in demanding that this movie...

I've been trying to cut down on the quizzes, but every once in a while, one comes along that allows you to post a big picture of Alan Rickman on your blog....

Bork! When I talked to Becky on the phone last night, it was reported to me that the lovely and talented John Hannah was featured in the Surprisingly Sexy section of People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive issue, apparently just across the page from the lummy Alan Rickman. Ha! What is so surprising, exactly? I am only disappointed they didn't figure more prominently. Bork!...
Someday I have to learn how to make a John Hannah quiz...

According to Celeb Match, I am 100% compatible with the skank-nasty Macaulay Culkin. Apparently compatibility is based on the fact that we were born on the exact same day. Thrilling. My runners-up are Tarso Marques (who?), Noah Bastian (who?), Chris Klein, and Randy Moss (who? sounds like a football player). I think I'll go shopping for someone better. Kevin Kline - 15% :( Mike Myers - 98% Jean Reno - 60% Alan Rickman - 94% Kevin Spacey - 74% Not bad. Too bad JH isn't on the list... [via Skittles?]...
