I finally got around to seeing the thrilling, award-winning film Moulin Rouge this weekend. Huh. It was entertaining, but I don't quite see why it seems to be everyone in the world's favorite movie at the moment. It was funny and it was different, but it was lacking in many ways. Yes, Gwyneth was awful. The dress was awful and made her boobies look droopy and wrinkly. And her eye makeup was scary. Barbra Streisand's dress was bad too. The nominees are online! My picks: Tom Wilkinson (even though he thinks I'm a dork), Ian McKellen, Monsters, Inc. (if you look at the two other nominees, I think you can see why I chose that...), Amélie Amélie Amélie and when Amélie's not nominated, Fellowship of the Ring. Amélie may have gotten the shaft at the stinking Golden Globes, but she's coming back for revenge in the Oscars. Watch out!...
