'There is nothing brings it round/ Like the trumpet's martial sound'

Went to see Wynton Marsalis. I don't think it's something that ever would have occurred to me to do - bothering to buy the tickets and all, but Robin suggested it so I went along with the plans. It was very nice. I am rather fond of brass instruments and think that woodwinds should shrivel up and be replaced by them (sorry Matt).

Afere the concert, we went to Red Hawk, where they were out of CO2 for the soda fountain thing. That was insane. I really wanted a baked potato but they didnt have that on the list so I had a sandwich instead. They probably didn't have it becase it's anit-carb-conscious - gid dam studpid Atkins!

Then we went to ARbor Brewing Company Iand Iahad one cider and this is how I type as a result of it. I should have a glass of water, but I'm too sleeepy.

Ok, that's crazy because I went to Marsalis and Red Hawk tonight with a few SI'ers!

The whole CO2 thing was very weird. I had to drink San Pellegrino!

I am very jealous that you went to see Wynton Marsalis. He did a recent tour in the UK which I somehow managed to miss.

We wouldn't have seen you, because it was IMPOSSIBLY DARK in Red Hawk!

It looked like a cool place. Is it always that dark?!? It wasn't smokey so that's always a plus in my book.

I saw Wynton Marsalis last spring in Cleveland. He is great!
